Hi, I am Bernie Geoghegan Here’s my story - Especially4U.

I come from Co. Clare, Ireland. My mother hailed from Co. Donegal and my father came from Cobh, Co. Cork. Both of whom met in Co Clare, got married and settled in there,. During my young years and to-date, I have travelled to Colombia, various parts of America, England and places throughout the EU, all of which ,have inspired my paintings and creative ideas.

I started painting in 2006 as a Sunday painter. Working full-time and rearing a family gave me little time to paint, so I would use the Sunday afternoons during the winters, to retreat to my bedroom where I would work on my paintings and listen to music. As the years moved on quickly and my family left home and I retired I took up painting on a full-time basis.

I have created several type of works, and experimented with several types of mediums. I have painted for others and have seen how my creative images has brought happiness to those who hang them on their walls or place them on their shelves.

I have had the pleasure of seeing one of my paintings - entitled St. John’s Castle, Limerick, shown on RTE 1, television programme, entitled Painting the Nation, back in 2017 . It was not a winner, but the pleasure of seeing it ,on TV, was just an amazing feeling and inspired me to continue with my art.

I have been commissioned to do paintings for special occasions e.g. Retirements, Birthdays, etc..

In 2024 I completed a serious of illustrations for a childrens’ poetry book, as a christmas gift , from grandparents, to their grandchildren, so they can hold and treasure these specially written poems and illustrations throughout their lives.

I can’t wait for the incognito2025 sale, and the world can see the great work that Jack and Jill’s do to raise funds for the most deserving children and their families.
